I’ve always been fascinated by Marlon Brando and his enigmatic, almost untouchable presence, yet I…
One Battle After Another – Cast Analysis
I’m going to do something different today and analyze several actors from a recent movie, One Battle After Another, which is packed with good actors and actresses and is rather thrilling, which is no wonder, considering the bombastic nature of BaZi Charts below.
Leonardo DiCaprio
I’ve been wanting to look at his BaZi Chart for a long time, and considering his impact, it was overdue. Leonardo doesn’t have a classic actor setup. His Output Component sits quietly in the Hour and Day pillars, while powerful Wood rules the Month and Year. For a Yang Fire Day Master, Wood represents the Resource and Intellect Component, and in his case, it’s rather powerful.
That gives him those eccentric edges, the paranoia, hypochondria, substance issues, and the constant inner tension. And that’s precisely what he brings to the screen: Howard Hughes (Aviator) and hypochondria, The Wolf of Wall Street and addiction, One Battle After Another and paranoia. The inner turmoil, which is a core trait of excessive Resource, shows up everywhere in his work.
Regina Hall
Regina didn’t have much screen time, but her raw energy and physical dominance stood out immediately. Another Yang Fire with plenty of Fire, so it’s no surprise her scenes with DiCaprio exploded on screen. Her strong Output Component (Earth) gives her a rebellious streak, and the Yin Fire hidden in the Dog gets pulled out through the Tiger, making her fierce and competitive.
Yang Metal on top adds the Flamboyant Supertalent, showing high sex drive, sharp language, and that intense, high-octane vibe.
Sean Penn
Another Fire Master Element, things are heating up. Sean Penn has a rare Element Triangle that works beautifully. Yin Fire, Yang Wood, and Yang Metal form a powerful loop: Wood fuels his Fire, and that Fire forges the Metal that appears three times in his Chart.
It shows strong independence, especially financially, but he always needs extra Fire from Dynamic Luck to stay at his best. This Snake year delivered precisely that, which is why he’s suddenly everywhere again.
Chase Infiniti
This is the first cool Chart in the mix, but the friction stays because it’s another high-octane setup, just from the Water side. She’s a Yin Water Master Element, gentle on the outside, but backed by Yang Water in the Pig, more Water in the Dragons, and Metal on top. Her Water is powerful.
In the movie, she’s tough, resourceful, and basically survives on her own, which fits a Chart supported by a strong Resource and Body Component. And those two Metal Dragons add fury, authority, and serious force.
Benicio del Toro
In this chaotic movie, Benicio del Toro was the Zen center, and his Chart matches it. He’s a true slow-burner, with massive Yang Wood backed by two Tigers and Yang Water on top. His Yin Fire Output Component (Artist Talent) never needs to hurry; it burns steadily because the Wood supply is endless. That gives him a naturally calm, unhurried presence. Nothing to chase, nothing to force. He already has everything he needs.

And that would be a wrap. We hope you enjoyed this group format. We might do it more often, especially with big movies starring many actors.
